Justicia betonica is a very beautiful and unusual shrub; it grow to around 1.2m - 1.5m high.  It is a very floriferous plant, producing in abundance erect white bracts, with a green netting pattern created by the intricate network of bright green veins throughout the white bracts.  The flowers start out white and as they age, they turn pink.  This Justicia flowers in winter and spring.  It can be propagated by cuttings or layering. This tropical plant has been growing is a strong and reliable grower in Sydney gardens.
