Dicliptera suberecta

Dicliptera suberecta grows to around 40 - 60cm high; it is a very tough and drought tolerant plant.

The leaves on Dicliptera suberecta are silver in colour and are soft to touch with a velvety feel to them.  The tubular flowers are orange in colour and they are a beautiful contrast to the leaves.  This plant has a long flowering season; from late spring through to autumn.

A position with morning sun or light shade is ideal. It is easy to grow from cuttings and it can self seed.   It will need a  warm position in the garden as it is frost tender.
