Front Garden Plants 6

Galphimia gracilis grows to 1.2 - 1.5m high.  The combination of yellow flowers on reddish stems, standing above the light green foliage is eye catching. This year it started flowering in January and is still in flower in mid May.  It will be interesting to see how long it flowers for.  Galphimia gracilis needs a well drained soil and full sun to half day of sun.  Plant in a warm position to protect it from frosts.  This tropical shrub has been growing in my garden for many years; it is  a strong and reliable grower in Sydney gardens.

Native: Eastern Mexico
